I am excited to be your child's teacher this year.  I was born in Rochester, NY, where my parents still live.  As a child I loved to read, play baseball and football and listen to music.  Every summer we would camp in the Adirondacks.  I still love to camp.  This past summer I camped in Acadia National Park in Maine for a week and spent another week at Olympic National Park in Washington.  My goal is to go on a weeklong trip in the Boundary Waters.

I play a number of sports, including Baseball, touch Football, Ultimate Frisbee and Soccer.  My favorite book I read this summer is Old Man's War by John Scalzi.  My favorite place to go is Galactic Pizza in Minneapolis and eat pizza.

I went to the University of Chicago  where I received a B.A. in Philosophy.  I then taught for two years as an assistant teacher in 2nd grade at The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools.  While I was teaching there, I earned my M.A.T. in Elementary Education at National Louis University.  I then taught 3rd grade for a year at Enrico Tonti Elementary School before moving up to the Twin Cities.  I taught for a year at Cedar Manor Intermediate School as a 5th grade teacher before having the opportunity to come to Peter Hobart and teach 3rd grade.  I am very excited to teach primary age students again.
